I need more wines like Copain for $12.99 in my life, ya know?
Like "they" say, If you want to know where you’re going, you’ve got to know where you’ve been.
Copain, now owned by the Jackson Family, was once the doyenne of the “balanced” wine set. That’s to say, it was not uber-rich or possibly even sweet like so many Chardonnays a few decades ago (and, okay, still today).
Founder Wells Guthrie was a hero to many of us who felt like he had cracked the code to California Chardonnay. Buuuuuuuuut - like all crazy popular brands, Wells then got bought out and we all wondered what was next.
In truth, the Chardonnays have stayed true to the founder’s vision. So maybe we’re going in the same direction as Wells had already pointed us.
We bought everything the distributor had for this one shot deal. You guys know what to do!

This is without question the most exciting sub $15 red wine release in 2021. I think when you all taste the absolute thunder this wine brings for the money you are really going to be blown away.
The thing that makes it so exciting is that this is not your granddaddy's Rioja. This is modern, fruit froward deliciousness that will please Napa Cab lovers, Aussie Shiraz lovers and Spanish Tempranillo lovers alike.
It makes sense this wine is so delicious.
The powers behind Bodegas Lo Nuevo need no introduction to our customers; we have followed them for several years now. Why? Because they have a remarkable set of vineyards in many of the sexiest parts of Spain, and because they always bring some crazy value to it.
This is a fairly new project for them, but like others they own, it consists not of a large family holding but is a collection of small plots, each planted 15 to 60 years ago. This is the most elevated region of Rioja, the Alavesa, where calcareous clay soils necessitate a reliance upon Tempranillo and where winemakers Bartolomé Abellán and Sara García rest this 100% Tempranillo in French oak for 10 months.
Trust me on this one 😁
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

One of the fastest selling $50 wines of all time for us here at winestore. came into port for the first time in December of 2019 and it went wild from there...
So let's just say when we were offered the opportunity to buy in at this price, we did not hesitate.
What is up with the wine?
Many of you know and love "Escorlada" - the $20 showstopper from one of the first families of Spanish wine that we brought into the United States (the wine with the ships on the label).
Well, that wine has a big brother...and by big brother, we mean BIG.
This Spanish powerhouse comes from nearly century old garnacha vines, yielding some of the lowest tonnage yields I have ever heard of, and is aged in 100% new Taransaud French Oak (think the Ferrari of the barrel world).
When talking about low yields, let us take the Musigny vineyard for example - one of the top spots for Grand Cru Burgundy (Pinot Noir), where bottles start around $300. Le Musigny typically in a good year will yield some 3,500 liters of wine per hectare. The yields from the Garnacha vines that go into the Ladron yield just 700 liters per hectare (that means every 2.5 acres of vines at this site only yields 933 bottles of wine).
In Napa these bottles would cost $500 just based on that alone :)
The first time we tasted it we were floored - one by the color and the flavor profile (think the wine equivalent of the movie Roadhouse) - but also by the price we were offered. It only further reinforced to us that some of the most outstanding values in all of winedom continue to come out of Spain.
First come, first served. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

As most of your know, the 2020 Cabernet crop from Napa Valley was eviscerated by fire, and that has created a rather large shortage of affordable Napa Cab in the market.
That shortage is only going to get worse into the fall, and deals on Napa fruit are going to be few and far between (we’re already seeing this take place in the market). That makes deals like this one, which we cut in February, all the more exciting.
Pat Kuleto was one of San Francisco’s preeminent restaurateurs when he bought almost 800 acres in eastern Napa Valley. Over the years, they established vineyard sites and started a winery that has since been gobbled up by the Foley empire but that’s not a bad thing. With wineries across the globe including Merus, Banshee, Chalk Hill, Roth, Lancaster, Chalone, Lincourt and EOS in California; Lucien Albrecht in France; and Dashwood, Mt. Difficulty and Grove Mill in New Zealand, Bill Foley has shown real zeal and smarts in his acquisitions.
Much like the Jackson Family, Foley Family Wines has scale to produce absolutely world class wine - and also the ability to offer crazy discounts when they want to move it!
We were able to secure 224 six packs of this Cabernet at this price and that was it - first come, first served.
Let's get to it!

Le Cabas Rosé is sneaky good. It became the #2 selling rosé in the last 12 months here at winestore., and we only sent a newsletter out about it one time - on July 30th of last year 😳
What makes it so awesome?
Grenache is a remarkable grape with the ability to generate rich, dark and powerful wine when the crop yields are modest, but just as equally it can make vast quantities of pleasant wine, with less color but vibrantly fruity aromas. As a basis for rosé, it’s very nearly perfect, and it’s been the grape of choice for southern French rosés for a century or more. A touch of texture, that beautiful light pink color, and lots of raspberries and strawberries.
We've got it on sale through Sunday to celebrate all things summer. I'm 99.9999999% sure there is no better rose out there for $7.99 per bottle!
As always, THANK YOU for your business. It's an honor to serve you all each and every day. If there ever is anything you need from us, or any suggestions we can use to make our service better, please let us know (HERE).

You read the subject line correctly. If you like big red wine, this is an absolute do not miss. These two wines will be two of the highest quality offerings we have this year.
Clio and El Nido have been two of the hardest wines for us to source since we opened for business. If you are not familiar with the wines, they are Monastrell and Cabernet based powerhouses from the Gil Family (you can read more on the family from a recent Wine Spectator article HERE).
Gil Family Estates looked to replicate the success that Bodegas El Nido (Clio) had in Jumilla in the Campo de Borja by creating Bodegas Morca. When I say replicate, I really mean replicate. For instance, the Bodegas Morca “Touran” is in the same bottle as El Nido, packed in the same two packs as El Nido, in the same 4 bottle case as El Nido. The “Morca” is packed in the same case as Clio etc. etc.
The wines are virtually identical in flavor. While they are not the same grapes (Morca is Garnacha based), I am willing to put a lot of money on the fact that if I served them side by side I am not sure even the most skilled taster could tell them apart.
Our growing relationship with the Gil Family has allowed us to get deeply involved in this project, and based on the quality of what we tasted we purchased nearly 60% of all the Touran that came into the United States and 40% of all the Morca that came into the US.
Sadly, that doesn’t translate to a lot of wine. For instance, we only have 500 bottles of Touran to sell (and nearly 200 of those are already gone).
Inexpensive these wines are not - but if you are looking for some absolutely insane, high quality, powerful red wine, you're gonna want to get involved here.
A perfect weekend treat to yourself!
TGIF!

It's a shame that Balcon sur la Mer did not arrive into port until July 5th. I feel like this one has "Holiday Weekend" written all over it. Oh well, there is still Labor Day!
Honestly, the first time I ever saw this bottle and tried the wine, I kinda felt like I was transported onto a luxurious vacation. Someplace like Bermuda or Saint Barths.
Well, maybe like Saint Barths...but I'm not paying and someone is just pouring me lovely rosé in infinite quantities as my feet rest in the sand. Something along the lines of this scene from one of my favorite movies (HERE)
Balcon delivers everything you want in a great rosé in spades. This unctuous pink wine is dry, stony, fruity, lengthy. Comprised of Grenache, Grenache Gris and Mourvedre, there’s a lot more here than many a rosé that you’ve tasted before.
We will have it on the tasting machines at all seven stores, just so at the very least you can be transported to your own favorite place while you're shopping.
I know what I'm drinking tonight!
I'll see you in Saint Barths...just remember though, we need to find someone to pay 😂
Happy Wednesday!

It is basically white Sancerre without the Sancerre prices...
07.08.2021
2019 La Clef du Recit Menetou-Salon
Release Price: $25.00
SALE Price: $19.99 (net)
SAVE 20%
Lowest Online Price in the USA!
*Curbside Pickup Always Available*
With the shortage of Sancerre in the US lately (what is there not a shortage of right now?!?!), and Sancerre prices on the rise, La Clef du Recit Menetou-Salon has become even more of a screaming value of late.
While the estate has been around for decades, Le Clef du Recit is newly helmed by Anthony Girard, whose family is well-known as Loire Valley vintners. His brother runs the family biz and young Anthony had a chance to buy some sweet, sweet soil. What is sweet soil in Sancerre? Think Terres Blanches, meaning white earth, or a lot of fractured limestone. The fancy wine people call it Kimmeridgian marl, which maybe you’ve heard about. If not, no worries. It’s near the town of Récy, so the “key” (clef) to the “story” (Récit) is that the land and exposure are ideal for unlocking the character of nervy, mineral laden Sauvignon Blanc, happy to be in such a special place.
The added bonus? Menetou is a satellite appellation to Sancerre, without the Sancerre prices. Of course, that still usually means wines north of $30 (like THIS).
We are here to tell you, if white Sancerre is your thing, you need to be all over this bottle of wine. It is a dead ringer for some of the top estates in the Sancerre appellation like Vacheron, at half the price. You'll also be able to impress all your wine snob friends by dropping some Menetou-Salon wine knowledge on them :)
Stay dry everyone! A perfect day for curbside pickup!

You guys had to know that we were going to kick this week off with a bang, right?!?!
What's the deal?
The seemingly endless process of creating new AVAs goes on apace. Witness the Santa Margarita Ranch AVA, one of the series of newish AVAs that has parcellated the better known area of Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. While Paso Robles is hot and sunny, Santa Margarita Ranch AVA has one of the cooler, hence longer, growing seasons in the region.
Ancient Peaks represents three cattle ranching families who got into the wine growing business a few decades ago and have proven adept at rich but not too rich Cabernet, powerful but not too punchy reds and wines worthy of your summer cookout.
All that said, it wasn't good enough that we loved the wine, and thought you would too. We needed the price to be right.
Is the wine worth $20? Absolutely. Is it even better at $14.99? You know it!
We hope everyone had a restful, enjoyable and safe July 4th weekend!

We like the Vellas family; we buy a lot of their wines. Why? Because they have 100s of acres at their disposal in southern France? Yes, true. Is it because they consistently offer us wines that reflect their place (places like Pic-Saint-Loup)? Sure, that too. But, actually, it’s because value in French wine can be hard to find and the Vellas family just keeps bringing it to us. Rich, expansive Syrah for this kind of money? Yeah, yeah, that’s why.

Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre are happy bedfellows from anywhere, and the Vellas family has sites throughout Mediterranean France that allow balance as well as intensity to be achieved. But the curiouser element to this wine is the name. My French is pretty damned elementary and “double ripasse” doesn't appear on any of the slang sites I can find. In wine terms, ripasse is to press or to squeeze, and that typically means someone has made wine from grapes but held onto the skins. Then they dump fresh must onto to those once-squeezed skins, using the new juice to soak more flavor (and often tannin and earthiness) from the skins. But then there is the picture on the label and the Vellas propensity to pun – they’ve a lot of those up their sleeves. So if you know why “double ripasse” somehow translates to burning money, please let us know. Until then, enjoy the rich, earthy character and texture.

Spanish wine is a bargain, right? It’s been that way for decades, though it’s only been in the last ten or fifteen years that the wider world has dropped some in their gullets and said, wait, this costs how much? Certainly, less than it should. It doesn't take geniuses to notice it, so we’re not making any claims to our own brilliance. In the case of this Garnacha Tintorera, we’re pretty sure we’ve found what may be the best sub $20 wine we have ever tasted. Spain has done it again!

You have been told that Pinot Noir is the most finicky of grapes; indeed, it’s supposed to be the “heartbreak grape.” The statement is not false but it’s also not completely true. To make great Pinot noir is bloody difficult and to do it consistently is virtually impossible, unless you’re in some famous place. But that’s true of most grapes. It’s true that Pinot noir grown in the wrong place is pretty dreadful, maybe more dreadful than most other grapes. But the middle ground has plenty of wealth to it – you need a friendly place for grape growing but not too friendly. With France’s Pays d’Oc, there are places where it’s easy to ripen grapes and areas that offer just enough challenge to coax Pinot Noir into showing its friendly and compelling side. This is an ideal example.

Bodegas Lo Nuevo has unquestionably modernized their winery; it’s practically a technical marvel now. But what makes these wines special is the place, Jumilla, with its intense weather. After killing it with the AVERÆN project in Oregon, the Banshee gang is hard at work again in Washington. They’ve grabbed some vineyards in Walla Walla Valley and we’re smart enough to snag some of their early efforts. There’s not a lot of Sauvignon Blanc grown in these spots, but what is there produces wines like this one: poised, more bright melon and citrus - just the way it should be.

Swimbad White is a tangy, refreshing white wine from southwest France, an ideal source of seafood worthy wines. The Bordeaux region has been reliant upon Sauvignon Blanc for decades, that much is well-known, but other, less celebrated grapes have been crucial in Bordeaux. Colombard is a relatively neutral grape but, every now and then, in the right spot, the grape takes on texture and richness. Between the tangy citrus of Sauvignon Blanc and the weight of Colombard, this embodies both the classic style of traditional French white wine and the very modern pursuit of fresh fruity flavors.

The Comte Tolosan region encompasses famed wine regions: Jurancon, Cahors and Armagnac. Typically, the white wines are based upon neutral grapes like Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Folle Blanche, or more aromatic grapes like Petit Manseng or Gros Manseng. While few of these grapes have distinctive personalities, if you put them into a harmonious blend, they can be pretty charming.

Until recently, for Australian producers (and others), Prosecco was a grape and not a place. Recent changes Italy made to how Prosecco is classified, by renaming the grape in these wines as Glera and deeming Prosecco a place and not a grape, mooted any possibility of other countries insisting that they were just naming their wines Prosecco as a varietal designation. Maybe it helped, but Prosecco blew up, internationally speaking. Raffaello is by far, in a sea of Prosecco producers, the best value we have ever tasted.

July 4th Specials!

So in 2018 and 2019, with July 4th falling on a Wednesday and a Thursday, we could not figure out if people were celebrating the weekend before or after - so we ran our 4th of July sale for an entire week. You guys responded that you were loving that idea.
In 2020, with the 4th falling on a Saturday, we want to make sure those of you who celebrated the week before the 4th and the week after the 4th could get in on the action. So what did that mean? Running the sale for almost two weeks, of course :)
The response to that was, shall we say, extremely strong.
So we are in 2021, and we are going to stick with the two week sale!
That means you get to purchase wine at silly prices for 13 days AND you get to celebrate the 4th the week before and the week after the actual 4th of July! You have our permission. Some of you may wish to celebrate the whole month of July, and we are on board with that plan 😁
Quick note - ALL of these sale items are offered to you at the lowest online prices in the USA. Boom! (that was a big firework going off, just fyi)
So Happy Birthday America! And of course, THANK YOU ALL for the opportunity to serve you. We are humbled by your support and we strive to earn your business each and every day.
Let's do this people!

Cabardès has not always been a favored site but its intense limestone soils are beginning to consistently offer Burgundy-like nerve. It’s tasty wine, but maybe the best part of the story is that Cabardès is named for the 13th Century Lords of Cabaret – seriously. Picture Joel Grey or Alan Cumming astride white stallions, swords a-glinter in the sunlight, horses prancing. Okay, you just can’t un-see that image, can you?

More than a half century ago Viognier was forgotten; near extinct. In the 1980s things blew up, with acreages quintupling. There were a few successes, but most just didn't do justice to the grape. Winegrowers eventually found the ideal conditions, while the Viogniers of the Rhone have become pricey and sought-after. Elevated spots in the Pays d’Oc are this wine’s source; to a great degree this is the grape’s frontier now.

Bodegas Lo Nuevo's success has allowed them to spread their wings to other prestigious regions. Their Montsant projects have brought them perhaps even more fame than in Jumilla. Orlaida could become a benchmark for the potential of Montsant. The vineyards for their Garnacha are at 2,000 ft. in altitude in the area of Cornudella de Montsant, with Priorat like slate soils. Cariñena vineyards in Darmós and Masrig are on clay soils, and the Syrah vines are located on limestone.

June 16th, 2006 we opened our doors for the first time, and it feels like it was just yesterday.
I still feel like we are just getting going, but truth be told we've been working at this for a little while now :)
We are still focused on bringing you the best possible wines at the lowest possible prices - so it only seems appropriate that we take two of the best selling wines over the last 15 years (Snowvale is #1 by a large margin!) and put them on sale to celebrate. 🥂
They will also be on the machines to taste for just $0.01 through Sunday!
We could spend the rest of this communication talking about how we've grown, and the exciting things we have in the works (new store in Asheville opening in August!), but instead we want to spend this time to say thank you.
I'm not sure you can say "thank you" enough, and while we try to say it every time we see you - we just want to say it again. Each and every one of you have given us the pleasure of serving the wine (and sometimes beer!) needs for you and your family, and we are truly humbled by the opportunity.
You've allowed us to be there for celebrations, date nights, funerals, graduations, weddings, pool parties, beach trips and anything and everything in between. Thank you.
We have some of the lowest employee turnover rates in retail, and a main part of the reason is the customers we get to interface with on a daily basis are just wonderful people. Thank you.
And even to the guy who walked in the first week we were open and said "this has got to be a losing proposition" 😂 Thank you. You gave us an extra boost of motivation that continues even to this day.
We hope you all will stick with us for the next 15 years (and even tell your friends about us)...and while we have no idea what the next 15 years will look like, we are excited for the ride.
The one thing we will guarantee you is this - we will work our absolute best, every single day, to try and provide you the best service, prices, and wines in the wine retail business. Oh, and any time we slip up we will always make it right 😁
So THANK YOU, to the best customers in the world. We look forward to serving you soon.

Summertime is rosé drinking time, and don't let anyone tell you any different!
When it is 90+ degrees outside I want crisp, dry, ice cold rosé in my glass.
Every year here at winestore. we try and find some exciting new rosé releases, and Lou Pichoun is one such addition to our lineup!
Why did we fall in love with it? (besides the blue cork...)
Along France’s border with Italy, between the Mediterranean coast and the continental region of Savoie, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is traversed by the Durance river. Vineyards are mostly found on the valley hills for maximum sunlight exposure. So the days are Mediterranean warm but the high altitude and the presence of the mountains makes for much cooler nights as air from the Alps descends into the vineyards.
These conditions make for delicious rosé. While this has the look and feel of Provençal rosé, it's a bit lighter and airier. And in case you wondered who Lou Pichoun is, that’s Provençal slang for the youngest, as in, the most favored child.
We only have 228 cases to last us until the end of summer (that's how it goes sometimes). Truth be told, that will probably only get us till the middle of July, but we are going to live in the moment and enjoy the wine while we can!
Let's get to it!

You may not have heard the news last year (HERE), but the governing body of all things Prosecco decided that the two hottest wine trends in the global wine trade were about to be married - Prosecco and Rosé.
Yeah, we were excited too.
Many publications came out with their suggestions (like the WSJ, HERE), but we saw absolutely zero rosé Prosecco being offered under $10. Maybe we should have expected that given the expected demand, but we needed to look harder.
Enter Raphael dal Bo.
So Raphael dal Bo is a real guy, born and raised in Conegliano, the beating heart of Prosecco, the place that still produces the indisputably best version of the Glera grape that gives us this absolutely cheery bubbly. That certainly explains why he was the first to receive organic certification for his Organic Prosecco and why he remains solely focused upon Prosecco still today.
We've been selling his Raffaello Prosecco for the last three years, and it continues to absolutely dominate the value sparkling / Prosecco category. He contacted us and told us that he had a Rosé Prosecco in the works, and would we be interested in trying it.
Of course we would.
We loved the wine. It was dry, crisp, hints of peach, and just an overall lovely drinker. Then he dropped the bombshell on us. We could get it to you guys for $9.99 per bottle 👀🔥
We bought all we could get our hands on, and after what seemed like the longest container ride from Italy in history, it has finally arrived!
You all will be the first people in the United States, and some of the first people in the world, to taste the newly released Raffaello Prosecco Rosé. A perfect way to start the weekend for sure.
TGIF!

$12.99 Chardonnay from the former winemaker at Beaulieu and Cuvaison!

2019 Kingstree California Chardonnay
Release Price: $20.00
winestore. Price: $12.99 (net)
SAVE 35%
*Curbside Pickup Always Available!*
I think since early May I have e-mailed the distributor for Kingstree Wines every single day and asked "Is it here yet?" (I'm sure they love me)
Well, I am happy to report (and I think they are as well :), that the newly released Kingstree Chardonnay has been released!
What's the deal here?
California winemaking master Rob Fischer is no stranger to epic high end wine. His track record includes stints at Cuvaison, Beaulieu Vineyards, Etude, Lyric, and several others. The dude knows what he's doing.
But while he can churn out the expensive stuff, his passion is providing unbelievable value for the money. We've seen it in his Kingstree Cabernet, and other value projects like Valravn (have you had their Pinot Noir?!?!?!?), Averaen, and Marine Layer.
With the Kingstree Chardonnay, I think you'll get what we are talking about. It is BIG, lush Chardonnay that competes on the table with some competition churning out wines at more than 2x the price. I feel like at $12.99, easy to drink and delicious, and maybe one of the more beautiful labels I've seen in awhile, it is checking all the boxes for my weekday wine lineup!
We'll have it on the tasting machines at all seven locations all week long, in case you want to give it a test drive (isn't it awesome to have these back in action?!).
We hope everyone is having a wonderful start to summer, and as always, THANK YOU for the opportunity to serve you!

Memorial Day Specials!
May 25th - 31st, 2021
ALL WEEK LONG!
It kinda feels like things are starting to get back to normal, and that means we need to put on a Memorial Day sale that will simply put shame to all of our previous Memorial Day sales.
Memorial Day Weekend is a time to give thanks to those who have given their life to serve our country. It's the weekend that kicks off summer, and rings in the end of the school year. Pools open and grills fire up. Kids get ready for camp. Life is good, right?
So this week we're gonna be playing songs like this song on repeat in the store (seriously, that song is my fave), while we're also rolling out our largest Memorial Day Sale ever, with prices that hit the wallet just right.
Some of the gems below we have never marked down to these prices, so don't wait around until we realize what we have done!
As always, thank you for your business. We continue to be humbled by the opportunity to serve you.
Let's do this people!!
We continue to recommend using our website (HERE) and choosing in store / curbside pickup, and we will walk your order out and place it in your car.

If you stick around the wine business long enough, you’ll have seen it all. Where once wine coolers were cooler than Liebfraumilch, now hard seltzer is hot (served cold). White Zin was once de rigeur, though it was never French; it was from the good ol’ US of A. But then that became too sweet and the category died. Or seemed to. Because then rosé rose up like a zombie eager for fresh meat, though the current iteration of the pink stuff is more often French than not. Provence is the epicenter of it and the French have figured out how we like it: dry, pale pink, light and refreshing.

They’ve grabbed some vineyards in Walla Walla Valley and we’re smart enough to snag some of their early efforts. There’s not a lot of Sauvignon Blanc grown in these spots, but what is there produces wines like this one: poised, more bright melon and citrus - just the way it should be.

Recently Almansa has been considered to be hot for high quality wines, but a century ago Almansa produced high quality wines, albeit at that time they were sweet ones. They used Alicante Bouschet, but today they call it Garnacha Tintorera, they nixed the sweet, and they mix it with 30% Monastrell to make this wickedly powerful red wine.

The vast vineyards of France’s Languedoc hold many well-known grapes, including Chardonnay that is friendly and accessible. This one is gathered from organic vineyards on the Aspères plateau with its excellent marl and limestone soils. The winemaking is straightforward – stainless steel fermenters and just enough lees stirring to enrich the texture and flavors. We love finding wines like this!

This is a tasty little gem unearthed by the pros at Banshee Wines. Banshee, started by three guys who just happened to like wine and wanted an excuse to be out west, hasn't been around long but they sure have kicked off righteously during their short career. They’ve always been focused upon cooler climate sites, especially with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and at the prices they offer their wines, it’s no surprise that things have gone swimmingly well.

So, is it okay if I predict that Sauvignon Blanc becomes the world’s most widely planted grape in the next decade? In southern France, with the collection of hills, valleys, and plains rolling down to the Mediterranean, it thrives. Sure, the plains are not where you grow Sauvignon Blanc, but there are plenty of other spots where you do. There these wines are vibrant, expressive and tangy – and it’s rare that those three descriptors go together.

Our Tasting Machines are OPEN!
One of the cornerstones of our business model has always been the ability for you all to use our tasting machines to "try before you buy".
That said, the pandemic had other plans for that feature over the last 12+ months.
We waited a week to let everyone know, so we could get everything perfect (and try and make sure everything still worked!), but we are happy to report that the machines were opened back up on May 13th!
This is your official notice that the tasting machines are back in action!
Thank you so much for your patience over the last year as they sat idle and we waited for the right time to get them back in service.
We are truly thankful for the opportunity to continue serving all your wine needs. I promise we don't take it for granted, and we will continue to work hard to earn your business each and every day!
Anyone want to taste?
Oh, SWIMBAD makes a white wine too...and it's epic.

Yeah...so when we got all hyped up on SWIMBAD Rosé we also got to taste their white wine.
Between the PET bottle, the price, the package, and the delicious wine (this is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Colombard) - it is just an overall pleasurable experience. It kinda embodies both the classic style of traditional French white wine and the very modern pursuit of fresh fruity flavors.
There is so much about wine that is subjective. If we are to understand how traditional wines came to be, it’s to know that pleasure is the goal. Of course, we could demand more but why is that necessary? Isn’t pleasure enough? Shouldn’t we enjoy wines for what they are and what they offer? If the last year has taught us nothing else, it is that seeing the downside of everything is easy. Our goal is to find the positive. As James Joyce said of his epic Ulysses, the book should end with the most positive word in the English language. "Yes.”
So let's all just say "yes" this weekend. Right? I know what I'm going to enjoy.
Let's get to it!
*side note* - I just realized that you can see the lady riding the goldfish from the rosé label in the swimming pool of the white wine label, and you can see the guy on the diving board from the white wine label on the rosé label. It kinda just blew my mind.

I gotta be honest, I'm not sure I've ever been more excited to talk about a bottle of wine. This stuff is so awesome!
From the minute we tasted this wine, and then saw the packaging, we were convinced this may become our best seller of all time. My guess is you are going to see SWIMBAD a lot this summer.
On the beach, by the pool, on the boat, in the golf cart - I got a feeling this rosé is going to be everywhere...and for good reason.
- The wine is delicious, and at $9.99 per bottle, it is right in my budget sweet spot.
- The PET bottle is perfect for all things summertime. It can't break (I literally tested it and threw one across the parking lot - and yes some people gave me a look 😳), and it fits perfectly in a cooler for the beach, lake or right by the pool.
- It also fits well in beach bags, swimsuit pockets, and in a koozie (yeah, I tried it...you never know, right?)
So in advance of our first 90+ degree day of 2021 this weekend, SWIMBAD is ready to roll...and and based on what happened just yesterday (the first day it arrived in our stores), I've got a sneaking suspicion you are liking it!
As an added bonus, the wine will be available to taste on the machines at all seven stores for only $0.01 all week long!
Let's get ready for the pool to open, turn up the tunes (like this one), and drink some great wine!
