Our "go to" sparkler for anything and everything Holiday this year (including last week at Thanksgiving), is Raffaello Rosé Prosecco. 

Not into the pink stuff? Well, when it comes to sparkling wine pink is prime time. There is a reason almost all rosé sparklers cost more than their non pink counterparts. Don't believe me? Go take a look at benchmark Champagne Dom Perignon. The rosé is nearly 2x the price of the regular cuveé!

How did this wine land at our doorstep? 

You may not have heard the news last year (HERE), but the governing body of all things Prosecco decided that the two hottest wine trends in the global wine trade were about to be married - Prosecco and Rosé.

Many publications came out with their suggestions (like the WSJ, HERE), but we saw absolutely zero rosé Prosecco being offered under $10. Maybe we should have expected that given the expected demand, but we needed to look harder.

Enter Raphael dal Bo.

So Raphael dal Bo is a real guy, born and raised in Conegliano, the beating heart of Prosecco, the place that still produces the indisputably best version of the Glera grape that gives us this absolutely cheery bubbly. That certainly explains why he was the first to receive organic certification for his Organic Prosecco and why he remains solely focused upon Prosecco still today.

We've been selling his Raffaello Prosecco for the last three years, and it continues to absolutely dominate the value sparkling / Prosecco category. He contacted us and told us that he had a Rosé Prosecco in the works, and would we be interested in trying it.

Of course we would. And the wine was insane.
