This will be one of the top wine deals you will see this year...and getting a deal like this is why we love doing what we do!!
Can we bring you a wine that drinks exactly like Sancerre, without the Sancerre price, at the lowest price ever offered in the US?
The answer is...yes!
In our constant quest to bring you the best possible wines at the lowest possible prices, today we have for you a real treat - 2023 Domaine L'Ermitage Menetou-Salon Première Cuvée.
Without sounding like hyperbole is the theme of the day, at $14.99 per bottle this could possibly rank as one of the best quality to price ratio wines that you will ever try. That is not an exaggeration.
The places selling this for $30? The wine for sure competes at that price...but at $15? Think the 1992 Dream Team type domination...
Domaine de L'Ermitage is a fairly new estate, founded by the daughter of one of the most influential figures in the region, Bernard Clement. Laurence de la Farge, and her husband, Geraud, built on Clement’s legacy; today their children, Antoine and Sophie, run this large and successful domaine. Their vineyard extends over 1300 acres (which in this region and industry has some wow factor), and the wines are very traditional and terroir-driven.
As for this wine in particular?
Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, once ubiquitous on shelves and wine lists, are getting hard to find today. Smart buyers are looking at the AOCs next door, like Menetou-Salon, just a few miles west of those two better known Sauvignon Blanc vineyards. And just like those places, the soils are a mix of Kimmeridgian limestone and the even more famed soil, silex. Silex deserves its fame; it provides tension and complexity to the aromatic Sauvignon Blanc grape.
Think crisp, dry, and uber refreshing.
So if Sancerre is your thing, or Sauvignon Blanc, or honestly just great white wine - this is a do not miss!
I'm taking home a case...I can't help myself 😂

How we all can help Asheville and WNC: HERE
Reminder we open at 9am Thursday - Saturday
So this sale has only been going on since Wednesday and you guys have bought in just 3 days the same amount of wine you had bought year to date up until Wednesday - so I think you all may enjoy this one as much as we do!! (or you're like me and if you can find awesome wine for less than $10 you buy with abandon)...
As we told you earlier in the week, there is no question this is one of the best red wines in the entire store.
This wine has been $9.99 only one other time before - and you all bought over 100 cases in just 4 days 👀
The first time I tasted this 100% Grenache from Colline du Bonnet I thought it tasted like a dead ringer for one of my favorite wines of all time, Alban Grenache. I'm not kidding, not even a little bit, and just for price comparison Alban Grenache, any vintage, lowest price in the US right now is $89 per bottle 👀
So how does a wine like this get made?
For most wine people, Languedoc-Roussillon is still a monolithic expanse of undifferentiated vineyards – but, as in that cartoon with the two babies peering into their diapers, “there is a difference!” Some areas see more sea influence than mountain influence; some sites are windier, and some are decidedly hotter. Colline’s Grenache vines are baked in the sun around the town of Cébazon in eastern Languedoc, and still enjoy enough of the Mediterranean breezes to retain some acidity. The winemaking is more traditional than modern (cold soaking the grapes for two days is still new thinking) but otherwise the grapes stay on the skins in vats for at least a month; then see long aging in cement cubes. It's old school winemaking that produces extreme value results.
Two days left! Let's do this!

All wines $9.99 and under!
It's that time of year! You know, when it finally cools down from summer, and that first time you have to put the sweater on to leave the house (it kinda reminds me of the opening line of this song for some reason...also how good is that song)
At this point though, cold weather doesn't slow down rosé. Rosé has basically become a year round sensation, but that doesn't stop our suppliers from being scared to have the product over the winter months. It's like they don't even know rosé is the ultimate Thanksgiving pairing!
Hey - their loss is your / our gain, as we took advantage of some end of season distributor closeouts and have, of course, passed the savings on to you guys. It's just how we roll. Oh - we're also bringing these to you at the lowest online prices in the United States :)
You might need some wine for trick or treating, or for the upcoming Holidays, or just because...and rosé always seems like a good option to me!
One thing I know for certain. You will not find a better lineup of rosé at these prices anywhere in the United States.
2023 Balcon Sur La Mer Rosé

Balcon delivers everything you want in a great rosé in spades. This unctuous pink wine is dry, stony, fruity, lengthy. Comprised of Grenache, Grenache Gris and Mourvedre, there’s a lot more here than many a rosé that you’ve tasted before.
2023 La Culottée Rosé

This 100% Caladoc wine is barrel-fermented, though it is still recognizably rosé in style. Needless to say, barrel-fermented rosé is anomalous anywhere, much less in southern France. The barrels are over-sized, and the wine has no added sulfur or added yeast. Dry, clean and rather full for a rosé, you can nonetheless drink it chilly on a sunny day, just like you would the rest of the rosés you’re slamming this summer.

Rosé is the tipple of the tempting whether we are in Touraine, Tempe, Tuscaloosa, Tuscany or Saint-Tropez. Provence, the archetypal French vacationland, is the poster child for what modern rosé ought to be. Pale, quenching, lip-smacking.

If you stick around the wine business long enough, you’ll have seen it all. Where once wine coolers were cooler than Liebfraumilch, now hard seltzer is hot (served cold). White Zin was once de rigeur, though it was never French; it was from the good ol’ US of A. But then that became too sweet and the category died. Or seemed to. Because then rosé rose up like a zombie eager for fresh meat, though the current iteration of the pink stuff is more often French than not. Provence is the epicenter of it and the French have figured out how we like it: dry, pale pink, light and refreshing.
2023 Rosabelle Rosé
Release Price: $18.00
SALE Price: $9.99 (net)
SAVE 45%
Lowest Online Price in the USA!
For rosé it doesn't matter as much what grapes you use, just the process. Though they need to be picked early and when they’re still tangy and tart. For Rosabelle that means Grenache and Cinsault. These days a paler style of rosé prevails, set by Provençal producers and Rosabelle is cut from that cloth.
2023 Villa Gaubert Rosé

It’s rosé season because it’s warm and getting warmer and rosés are cold and citrusy and tangy and refreshing and, well, once they’re properly cold, they’re delicious. Did I mention that they need to be cold? Dominique Haverlan bought the old Château Gaubert in Portets in 1988, which was then in ruins. He made it into something important, but he didn’t’ forget to make wine that you will want to drink at a reasonable velocity. That’s what rosé is.
2023 Lou Pichoun Rosé
Release Price: $18.00
SALE Price: $9.99 (net)
SAVE 45%
Lowest Online Price in the USA!
Along France’s border with Italy, between the Mediterranean coast and the continental region of Savoie, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is traversed by the Durance river. Vineyards are mostly found on the valley hills for maximum sunlight exposure. So the days are Mediterranean warm but the high altitude and the presence of the mountains makes for much cooler nights as air from the Alps descends into the vineyards.
These conditions make for delicious rosé. While this has the look and feel of Provençal rosé, it's a bit lighter and airier. And in case you wondered who Lou Pichoun is, that’s Provençal slang for the youngest, as in, the most favored child.

Shock Winner of the Caymus Blind Tasting...🤯

I did not have Highland Falls winning the Caymus Blind Tasting on my bingo card, but that is why blind tastings are so much fun - anything can happen.
It doesn't hurt that the new vintage from this long time favorite is absolutely lights out - which has helped propel it to become the most affordable winner of this tasting...ever!
I get it why people love it so much and why it did so well.
It was our 2020 Wine of the Year. It sold more bottles than any other wine in 2021, and the momentum seems to only be picking up speed... (so much so the winery was out of stock for 4 months in 2022 and 3 months in 2023).
It holds the store record for most bottles ever sold over a 5 day period.
The list goes on and on.
On sale for $9.99 it is at the top of any value list for me.
What's up with the wine?
"Mountain-grown, it’s the richest kind,” as coffee commercials used to say, but it’s also true of Cabernet. You rarely, if ever, can find mountain fruit in $12 wines. Like, I can't even think of one off the top of my head.
Foley Family's winemaking pedigree being involved doesn’t hurt either: the guys who bring you Merus, Chalone, Sebastiani and Chalk Hill Wines are behind the powerhouse Highland Falls lineup too.
It's kinda like if the people behind Dom Perignon launched a $12 sparkler - or the winemaking team behind Rombauer rolled out a $12 Cali Chardonnay.....these are the best of the best in the Cabernet world, bringing you world class value.
Thank you to everyone who came out and voted.
Highland on SALE through Friday!
Let's do this!

Taste 2022 Caymus Cabernet Blind vs. $25 Rivals! 😍
10.03.2024
Taste Caymus Cabernet Blind!
Saturday October 5th, 2024
9am-8pm
All Day Long!!
Featuring 2022 Caymus Cabernet!
winestore. Price: $67.99 per bottle
Our blind tasting schedule resumed last fall and they have been on a roll ever since. These events are by far my favorite tastings!!
And this Saturday...??? It may be our most popular of them all!
Caymus Cabernet is one of the hottest selling wines in any given year, but if we placed it in a lineup with less expensive offerings - could you pick it out? Would it still be your favorite? We're going to find out this weekend!
I mean, a Ducati is supposed to go faster than a bicycle, and a $70 wine is supposed to taste better than a $25 one. Right? Well, maybe not. A wine's success isn't measured in MpH, it's measured in the taste that is transferred from the glass to your mouth. If you don't know the price, can't see the label, and can't hear someone waxing poetic in your ear about the wine's "score," then all that is left is the juice and your taste buds. It's a scary proposition for any winemaker. That's why you have marketing departments that design catchy labels, create campaigns to build a wine's image, and spend all of their time and energy essentially trying to convince consumers that a wine is great. The problem is that you can't out "market" a blind tasting.
Which is why we're playing "Find the Caymus Cabernet" this Saturday - and I have to tell you this may the the most competitive lineup we have ever put together. The format is simple really. Eight wines will all be tasted blind on our tasting machines each at a cost of $1.00. ($8 to get through the whole tasting) One of them will be the 2022 Caymus Cabernet and the others will be an assortment of wines at every price point from a number of different regions. All you have to do is taste and pick your favorite. Yes, that's right, your favorite. If that's the Caymus, then great, if not, well that's OK too. You may be surprised as to what your favorites actually are.
We hope to see you Saturday - we can't wait to see who the winner will be!

Reminder we open at 9am Thursday - Saturday
Only 4 pallets came to the United States!
Many of you were out this weekend to taste some Pinot, and the top vote getter in our huge Pinot Noir lineup was making its debut in the United States this weekend!
To celebrate a victory by Domaine Priou over titans such as Kosta Browne and Williams Selyem, we're putting it on sale for $9.99 through Sunday...(to put it in perspective some of those other wines are $90+ 👀)
François et Jean-François Priou mostly grow Sauvignon Blanc along the River Cher; their Touraine Sauvignon Blanc is a great value. But as the world warms up, certain places that didn’t used to be able to ripen certain grapes are finding it easier to show off. While you might not think of the Loire Valley for Pinot Noir, it’s routinely grown there and, if you haven’t had a chance to drink any of the lighter, ethereal versions of the grape in this region, it’s because the yields are small, and the locals gobble up most of it.
Now is your chance to see why the locals try to keep all this wine for themselves. Many tasters last weekend figured it out quickly.
We'll keep it short and sweet today. This one is a keeper!!

The value train here at winestore. is running at full speed, and we have another show stopper for you at $9.99 per bottle.
As we have opined many times this year, there is no better time to be a wine buyer here at winestore. The sheer number of sub $15 magical wines is as good as it has ever been here, and Chateau Tuileries Pagès is making a splash in that lineup.
We first tasted this wine at the largest wine trade show in France back in February, and fell in love almost instantly. This is from the same importing group that is behind other breakout stars here at winestore. like Grand Billard and Peynaud Bagnac.
So what's the deal here?
In 1936 a small group of winegrowers from Monségur, a village in the heart of the Bordeaux region, joined forces to overcome the wine industry’s economic difficulties and modernize the wine making process. They created “Les Vignerons Réunis de Monségur” Cooperative. Almost a century later, there are more than 90 members of the cooperative, and in 2010 the whole place got updated and modernized. Think softer and easy drinking reds, perfect for lighter fare and even fish. Pro tip? Put in the fridge for 15 min before serving. It is epic!
We'll have it on the tasting machine at all 8 stores (9 starting next week!) for the rest of this week for only $0.01...just in case you don't trust us 😁.
Wine down Wednesday? I'm in!

I thought about this tweet about Five Guys burger prices the other day (I'm sorry but $22 for a burger, fries and a drink before tip is insane), and it made me thankful that there are still companies like Bodegas Lo Nuevo out there that are pushing the limits of value. We need people still carrying that flag!
Case in point? Escorlada.
This wine is kinda my everything.
I love it all. I love the wine, I love the packaging, I love the box it comes in (I always have a six pack in my house, even if to keep other bottles in!)...there is not one thing here I don't get excited about...
Now, when it is on sale like this?
Find me another wine that tastes this good, looks this good, and impresses like this, for $14.99. I'm not sure it exists.
It's got the accolades to go along with the great packaging and price.
It's been in Vivino top 1% of all wines in the world.
Current vintage is top 10% of all wines in the world - and has an avg user price of $20.11 per bottle (here) 👀
It was our 2019 Wine of the Year and is an all around ridiculous value at $14.99 per bottle.
What's the background?
Bodegas Lo Nuevo is crucial to the modern success of Spanish wine, especially wines from the Levante, the Africa-facing south. Here the Almansa region grows Garnacha, among other traditional Spanish red grapes, but unlike the oxidized, alcoholic wines of yore, the new wines are bright and sunny with all the original fruits from the grape preserved. Lo Nuevo has few peers in this grand evolution from the ancient and occasionally noble to something populist, fruity and modern. But they would be the first to insist that their success is conditioned upon old vines grown at high altitudes. Here the Garnacha is at nearly 3500 feet, where the otherwise relentlessly warm temperatures see nighttime cooling into the 40s.
These old Garnacha vines produce BIG and RICH red wines that don't require the same price points as some of the California peers because, quite frankly, the costs to make them in Almansa are simply not as big as they are in Napa.
So here we go, for six days only, maybe my favorite wine in the store for what is an absolutely silly price.
Let's do this! Happy Tuesday!

The countdown is ON!
As we prepare to open our 9th store next week, and our first store outside of North Carolina, we asked all of our suppliers to bring us some Grand Opening deals that represent what we are all about:
- Guaranteed low prices
- Unbelievable value, no matter the price
- Ability to try before you buy
- Award winning customer service (although our suppliers can't really help with that 😂)
The people behind Maison de Palais Voleur stepped up to the plate - and for only the second time ever in the US you can buy this wine for $19.99 per bottle (notice the avg Vivino user price of $30!)
Do you find a lot of Gigondas of this quality for $19.99? Ummmmmmm, no.......
Chateauneuf du Pape was one of the wine regions that got me into wine in the first place. I had a bottle of Domaine de Marcoux that knocked my socks off, and I was hooked from then on. That said, over the last decade or so, many of those Chateauneuf wines have priced me out. I have had to seek out value elsewhere...and elsewhere just happens to be right next door to Chateauneuf, in Gigondas.
Only a few years ago, we could say that Gigondas, nearby and reflecting the terroir and grapes of Chateauneuf, was the great bargain of the Southern Rhone Valley. But the price creep has started there as well, and now you have to look harder to find those values. But the quaint little village Gigondas deserves some attention; the Romans certainly thought so. They called it in “Jocunditas” which means joy or rejoicing, so we can guess that somebody liked the wine even then. It’s hard to say what the grapes were in Roman times; the Maison de Palais Voleur though is 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre.
We've talked a lot recently about discovering wines that have the "it" factor, but don't cost an arm and a leg. Here we have a wine, in the Gigondas bottle with the etched glass, with juice that reminds me of Chateauneuf, all below $20. That's the kind of stuff I need in my life right now.
All of the deals that we feature in the lead up to our new store opening will also be featured on our tasting machines at all 9 stores for only $0.01. That's right - the ultimate try before you buy, and it will only cost you a penny. 😁
As always, THANK YOU for your business and support. We are honored to be able to serve your wine needs each and every day. We don't take it for granted, and we always want to make sure we are taking great care of you!
TGIF! Let's do this!

I love it when I can buy wine on deal. I mean, that is what we are all about here at winestore.
But what really gets me fired up is when:
- I can buy delicious wine,
- It's at the lowest price in the US,
- That price is nearly 50% below the release cost, and
- That price is less than $10 per bottle.
That is when things get wild!
What is this mysterious wine that meets this criteria?
The beautiful Château de la Roche Bousseau was constructed in 1433, though much of it was destroyed after the French Revolution and rebuilt thereafter. Vines were planted in 1791 and have grown to almost 200 acres of Chenin Blanc and the other usual Loire Valley grapes.
This red typical of what they produce: absurdly underpriced 100% Cabernet Franc from older vines with bright fruit and nice acidity that is both fascinating and perfect for you to toss chicken on the grill, add some herbs, and be happy.
Let's be honest though - it doesn't just go with chicken. For me, fall is chili time...and there is no better chili recipe I have found lately other than this one. If you've a good one, please pass it along and maybe we will post links to them all in a future newsletter for everyone to share! I also have to confess that Skyline Chili, for me, is an all timer as well.
So tonight I'll be drinking this - and simply marvel at not only how much I love this wine for $9.99, but how someone can create such a beautiful product with a lot of TLC and charge the same price as someone tried to charge me for a plain baked potato recently 😂.
You guys know the drill!

I love this wine. I mean, it's not inexpensive...but I just love it.
Why do I love it? I'll be quick...
1) The wine is delicious
2) There is no place in the US you can buy this wine for less, and only 2 places on planet earth you can buy this for less
3) I love that it tastes great now, but has the bones to age if I want to save a bottle or two for a special occasion.
Now for the full report?
One reason we attend the largest wine trade show in France each year is to try and find some Bordeaux that is extremely high quality but not outrageously expensive (and nowadays that is no easy feat...)
The whole Bordeaux market, especially with all the negociants involved, is like the wild west of wine trading. Lots of middle men getting their cut, and the same bottles passing through multiple suppliers before it ends up at the end consumer. All that leads to super inflated prices, and we needed to try and just go direct to the source.
Luckily, we found what we were looking for in Saint-Émilion superstar Jaques Bertrand.
I will challenge anyone reading this to find better Bordeaux for less than $75 per bottle. I’d even put this wine up against Bordeaux I’ve tasted in the $150-$250 per bottle range.
Saint-Émilion is the oldest area of Bordeaux and its Roman ruins are a frequent reminder. Still, when the region was getting codified, Saint-Émilion was left out – it was sleepy and nearly forgotten. That changed in the 1990s when the garagiste movement of tiny Saint-Émilion wineries started making stunning, trend-setting wines. So the “Old” Jacques Bertrand Estate of Chateau Carteau is both Old School and modern all at the same time.
Chateau Carteau is a very typical Saint-Émilion blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon and it sees a bit more new oak than is typical at this price point. Half new and half one-year-old barrels generate more spice and weight in the mouth and, in a vintage like 2021, that is just right.
Chateau Carteau was released at $50 but we are bringing it to you for $29.99 - which also happens to be the lowest price ever offered on this wine in the United States (you know, cutting out the middle man thing).
So maybe not a Taco Tuesday kinda wine - but you better believe I will be drinking a bottle of this on Friday!! 😂

We are now transitioning into fall, or as I like to call it "Red wine drinking weather"...and I could not be more excited about it.
I am starting this season with Domaine de L'Ermitage Clos de Davet Pinot Noir.
Why?
Every now and again we stumble across something so special that absolutely requires your attention, and this one fits the bill.
For me, the wines from Domaine de L’Ermitage have that feel like we’re getting in on the ground floor of something that could be big…although my hope is nobody finds out about it, and we can drink like this for $25 for the next several years. I’ve shared multiple bottles with friends over the last few weeks - all to rave reviews.
This is a fairly new estate, founded by the daughter of one of the most influential figures in the Loire, Bernard Clement. Laurence de la Farge, and her husband, Geraud, built on Clement’s legacy; today their children, Antoine and Sophie, run this large and successful domaine.
Their vineyard extends over 1300 acres, and the wines are slowly fermented and then aged in concrete for six months – so very traditional and terroir-driven. We previewed this Pinot and the sister Clos de Davet wines for you last year, but the quantities were so small that it was kind of a joke. As an example, we sold out the 17 cases we got of the Clos de Davet Blanc in just 60 minutes.
There is a place selling the Clos de Davet white in the US for $39.99 (HERE) - and some place in the UK selling the same wine for the equivalent of $34.10 USD (HERE). You can note the place in the UK explains that just 1,200 bottles of the white were produced. Only 120 bottles made it for the entire UK market.
Just 1,500 bottles of the Pinot Noir were produced - and we are the only place you can buy this gem in the entire United States (let's gooooo!).
To give you an idea of how much we love these wines - we purchased 70% of the entire rosé production (HERE), 90% of the entire Pinot Noir production (HERE), and 56% of the entire Sauvignon Blanc (HERE) production. While the percentages are big, the quantities still remain small 😥.
Added bonus? You are being offered these wines at the lowest prices we can find - globally.
So let's kick the weekend off right!
I know what I'm drinking tonight! TGIF!

Turns out the people at The Good Wine & Co launched a white wine with their much hyped Dosoris Lane Red, and well...it's kinda off the charts.
It may be the first time we've ever brought in a wine where we weren't quite sure exactly what grapes were in it - but once we tasted it I'm not sure we really cared.
This wine is so refreshingly crisp, so easy to drink, and is in such a beautiful package that when we found out the price it was almost impossible to say no.
We spend so much time talking about how much things cost these days, that it is a welcome change when someone has created a product line with the sole goal of stretching what we believe possible with regards to quality and value in the wine space. I'm here for it!!
Much like the red last week, we will put this one on the tasting machines through Sunday for only $0.01 so you can see for yourself why we got so excited.
At $9.99 per bottle, with an easy to use screwcap, I'm in for a case (send a case to this place!)...and you can now say hello to my new house white wine!!
Happy Wednesday everyone!

When the people at The Good Wine & Co (good thing they make good wine 😂) told us they were developing a project where they were going to try and stretch the boundaries of high quality and low prices - we got super pumped up.
That literally is what we spend most of our time trying to do! Find unbelievable wines at unbelievable prices.
The result of those efforts is Dosoris Lane - and this may be the most hyped red wine release I have seen this year.
First things first - they succeeded in their mission...and may have created what could be the new "it" wine in the $10-$20 price range.
Think black pepper notes from a little Syrah. Then black fruits in the middle from a little bit of Cabernet; then red fruits and white pepper hints from some Grenache. Put it all together and you have some epic red wine from the sunny south of France, with expansive and bright flavors.
Oh - and all in an unbelievable package and on sale for $12.99 per bottle.
It is on sale for its launch - and to lean in a little more as this star makes its debut, we will also have it on the tasting machine at all eight stores (soon to be nine in about 2 weeks!) for only $0.01 through Sunday.
TGIF everyone!

I have to say it is rare that we get the opportunity to sell a wine in the United States for less than you can buy it for directly from the winery in France, but we love it when we can!
Absolu burst onto the scene in the US last fall and it has been a rocket ship ride ever since. The winery has had a tough time keeping up, so much so that we have been out of stock on this wine since May!
What is the story here?
So last year we were speaking with the winery behind our best selling white wine, Bleu Blanc Thau, and they just casually drop that they make Chardonnay. You know, like "Oh yeah we also make this do we want to try it?"
Ummm, yeah, we do.
As it turns out, Bleu Blanc Thau was not a fluke, and these people really know what they are doing.
When I said it was a rocket ship ride I was not kidding - 3.5% of all that wine we received last year was sold in the first 7 days of it being here, just from it being on the machine at ONE store.
So what makes this wine so special?
This is Chardonnay grown on eroded limestone and clay in one of the newer classified spots along the Mediterranean Sea. Night harvesting helps retain acidity and that’s important in a place that might as well be a beach in Capri were it not for the surrounding vines and the winds coming down off the mountains to the north and west. They say the winds are from the Atlantic, but that seems illogical since those mountains are in the way but, regardless, the nighttime winds are indeed very cool and refreshing. This is fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in barrel, but all of the wine spends a year in French oak.
All of those things combine together to make an epic, rich and round Chardonnay at a price point these guys dominate.
All I can tell you is DO NOT MISS.

We're going to have to start putting Benières in the Labor Day Sale 😂
For the second year in row we got just as many "When do these wines go on sale again?" as we did "What is on Sale right now".
Our #1 goal here is to give the people what they want - so here we go!
I should note that the Chardonnay is our #3 selling wine of 2024 and the Pinot Noir is #7 👀. Two wines from the same winery in the top 7 is just crazy.
What is crazy is they have held these top positions in one way, shape, or form since we started buying the wines back in 2019.
Honestly, I'm not sure there is any winery we carry more on fire than Benieres - and that there is no brand bringing more thunder when it comes to the quality / price ratio than these wines right now.
The guy who wrote the review above about the Benières Pinot Noir clearly agrees 😂 My guess is he is buying a case at this price.
As always, thank you for your support. We work hard every single day to bring you the best possible customer service, the greatest quality wines, and the lowest possible prices. We try and treat your money like it was our own (in a good way!), and we are honored to be able to serve you!

We've spent a lot of time recently talking about value, and at $9.99 per bottle Préjugés is exactly what we are talking about.
Make no mistake - there are people out there selling this wine for $20 (here). There is even one store trying to get $35 (here).
You guys know that is not how we roll. Here at winestore., during this sale, you can grab Préjuges for just $9.99 per bottle.
Getting wine of this quality down to that price is why we love what we do!
Préjugés is one of those wines that flies under the radar, but once you get it in your weekly rotation, it rarely leaves. The numbers are quite staggering, but would you believe that you all have made NC the #1 market for this wine on planet earth? 'Tis true. Here at winestore. it outsells Sonoma Cutrer, Rombauer, Mer Soleil and just about everything else 😂.
What makes Préjugés so awesome?
If you had told me that a French Chardonnay, from a little known producer, from a little known region (Cabardès), would become our top Chardonnay offering in 2019, 2020, 2021, and run third place in 2022 and 2023 only because we could not keep it in stock with all the supply chain disruptions - without question I would have thought you were crazy.
California Chardonnay dominates the charts here at winestore., but Préjugés is something special, and took our sales by storm.
I mean, Cabardès has not always been a favored site for white wine, but its intense limestone soils are beginning to consistently offer Chardonnay of Burgundy-like nerve. This barrel aged white has qualities that both California and French Chardonnay lovers are going to go "ga ga" over, and it drinks better than some California Chardonnay and white burgundies at 4x the price (no joke).
$9.99 through Monday. Let's goooooooooo!

We've got one for you today!
We told you we asked our suppliers to bring the heat for our Labor Day Sale (but like who brought the actual heat, can we get rid of this weather?!) - and the Bonnie Family showed up in a BIG way.
How about the lowest price ever offered in the US on Le Comte de Malartic?
Napa winemaking icon Jayson Pahlmeyer had a quote about second label wines (specifically about the Jayson red blend that was his $50 second label to the $150 Pahlmeyer Prop Red) that I love. He said "“The Jayson goes into the same brand new French oak barrels [as the main label, Pahlmeyer], has the same barrel-aging regimen, same blending, same care and dedication from my winemaker,” Pahlmeyer explains. “It’s 90 percent of the quality at 50 percent of the price.”
90% of the quality at 50% of the price is a standard I can get behind.
One of the best wines I tasted in 2023 was the 2018 Chateau Malartic La Graviere, but at $59.99 that is not in my weekly wine budget.
Their second label, 2018 Le Comte de Malartic, is squarely in my weekend wine budget though!
In 2018 for this wine, we’re talking about almost the exact same grape blend, same vat period, same vinification methods, and really the only difference being yields (the Comte is from some of the younger vines on the Estate that have higher yields), and aging time - the Comte sees 15 months vs 18 months for the big boy.
After tasting the wine I think Jayson Pahlmeyer is pretty spot on.
Is it as good as the flagship wine? It is not.
At $19.99 though it is one of the highest quality red wines we've got right now, and we're thankful to the Bonnie Family for letting us get this in our customers hands at this price. It is so epic!!
It reminds me a bit of a wine called Mas Doix Salanques from Priorat. Not in that they taste the same, but Salanques was a second label to the $100 Mas Doix, and at $29.99 it was not only delicious, I have bottles that are now 20 years old and still taste fresh and young. As a collector and wine lover, finding $25 wines that can go the distance is part of the fun!
I'm taking 12 home at this price. I can't help myself. It is a holiday weekend after all!!
TGIF!
