🔴 Taste Prisoner BLIND vs $20 Rivals...

Taste Prisoner BLIND vs. $20 Rivals
Saturday February 15th, 2025
9am - 8pm
All Day Long!!
Ask, and you shall receive...
After the success of our 16th Annual Silver Oak Blind Tasting, you guys have been clamoring for another blind tasting. Well, we are in the business of giving the people what they want...
...so for just the 2nd time EVER, it is time for The Prisoner Blind Tasting!
"The Prisoner" Red Blend appears to be universally loved. It actually helped spawn an entire movement of "BIG" red wine blends (and kinda gave Zinfandel a re-birth of popularity if you will), and still sits atop its perch as King of the Gigantic Red Wine Kingdom :)
Which is why we're playing "Find The Prisoner" this Saturday. It's simple really. The wines will all be tasted blind on our tasting machines. One of them will be The Prisoner and the others will be an assortment of wines at every price point, from a number of different regions. All you have to do is load up your card with $8.00, taste all eight wines (you don't have to taste all 8 if you don't want to, but it's more fun if you do!), and pick your favorite. Yes, that's right, your favorite. If that's The Prisoner, then great, if not, well that's OK too. You may be surprised as to what your favorites actually are.
These events are always fun, and honestly with the results that have come out of the last two blind tastings we have hosted, I CANNOT wait to see what happens!!
See you all Saturday!

Right now I'm not sure there is an item we have a tougher time keeping in stock due to its insane popularity other than Daou Pessimist.
Oh, did we also mention we have it for you at the lowest price in the US and 15% less than Total Wine?! You guys know, that is how we roll!!
What's up with the wine?
If there was ever a wine that's been on cruise control since it was released, this would be that wine. Daou Vineyards launched The Pessimist back in 2016 (which lets be honest that feels like yesterday), and while I don't know how much they sell globally, I know people are obsessed with this wine. My business partner tasted it and the first thing out of his mouth was "This is what The Prisoner used to taste like when it went huge".
Pessimist is a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and a splash of Lagrein. All those grapes together remind me of the feeling I had when I first saw someone make a Miami Vice at the Tiki Bar at the beach. Pure Heaven. You know what I'm talking about (If not please order a Miami Vice on your next beach vacation and thank me later).
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

Anyone interested in an absolutely insane deal to start the weekend, end dry January, and also exit maybe the longest and coldest month of the year?
Yes? I thought so...
To just start things off - I have never seen a Patricia Green Single Vineyard Pinot Noir bottling at this price. Not ever.
Heck, Total Wine is selling the basic estate Pinot Noir bottling from Patricia Green for $37.99 (here) - a nearly 52% increase over this single vineyard bottling we have here.
Patricia Green was a legend in Oregon. Maybe not that many people knew about her outside Oregon, but within the community of Pinot Noir winemakers, Patty was someone you listened to because she knew so much. While she did some great stuff putting Torii Mor on the map, when she opened her own place in 2000, she was free to make even more amazing wines. Okay, there’s a lot of wonderful Pinot in Oregon, but Patty Green rises far above the field.
Patty Green left us too soon in 2017, but her legacy as one of the most gifted winemakers in the world of Oregon Pinot Noir lives on through her business partner Jim Anderson.
I’ve never had a bad Pinot from Patricia Green, but their Chehalem Vineyard bottling is something special entirely. You can read more about the vineyard here, but let’s just say these people know what they are doing, and they do it better than almost anyone else in Oregon.
Extremely limited supply at this price - but let's get while the gettin' is good!
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

It's supposed to be 60 degrees this week, so mentally I'm going to springtime...and I'm not coming back to winter. I just want that to be known...😁
Anyhooo.....
How does a wine become our #9 best selling wine in 2024 and we have only ever sent out two newsletters about it? How does it do this if we've never even one time featured it in a sale?
By delivering the goods in a big way...that's how.
Oh, and we were not even the ones that uncovered this gem.
You guys know we do special orders all the time for wines we don't have in stock, and a long time customer e-mailed us a photo of this bottle that they loved at a restaurant (and paid $12 a glass) and wondered if we were able to get it for them.
Well - we were able to get it for them, and we also tasted a sample of it ....and folks, for $7.99 per bottle this stuff is downright outrageous.
What's the story here?
Dan Bada & Charlie Trivinia, whose mothers emigrated to the U.S. together from Le Marche, Italy, lived in the same house for some time. The two were childhood friends and in adulthood they decided to launch a wine import business. They work with winemakers Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi in the Veneto to create this wine from the Anselmi’s 600-acre estate near the sea. This is traditional Pinot Grigio: stainless steel, fresh and tangy.
Am I drinking this tonight? You know it!

So once a year we go to the world's largest wine trade show to try and find new wines to bring into the United States, and every year there is one wine that is just an absolute show stopper.
Last year, we took this photo of a wine that floored us on quality (and we were kinda scared to ask the price)...
I wrote down "Absolute grand slam if below $25...maybe best wine we have tasted" in my notes on the picture.
Once we found out we could bring it to you for less than $15 per bottle? We bought everything they had left - 60% of the entire production of the wine 👀.
To celebrate its launch in the US, we're putting it on sale this weekend for $12.99 per bottle - which is basically the same price you would pay for this wine locally in France! Let's gooooooooo!
We'll also have it on the tasting machine all weekend for just $0.01 to try - just to see if it rocks your world as much as it did ours.
So what shook us so hard on this particular wine?
Well...here's the thing...there are few certainties in wine; it may seem like certain grapes belong only in certain places and nowhere else but history and experimentation has shown otherwise. Opportunities can be vast. Some grapes do okay in lots of places other than their homes but truly shine in only one or two (I’m looking at you, Nebbiolo); chief amongst them would be Chenin Blanc. Aside from South Africa, only in the Loire Valley is the grape completely special. But even here, somebody might feel the need to gild the lily; Terrebrune pulls that off by adding 20% Chardonnay to its Chenin but the citric, honeyed intensity remains.
One of the things I love about the wine business is finding new products like this. Wines that are coveted in their home market, but have never made their way over here due to lack of supply and opportunity.
If you're like me and you always feel like any time you go on vacation the wine always tastes better...I feel like this is the stuff they are serving. Insane quality, a family run operation that prices for people to be able to drink and enjoy daily, and a great story.
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

Anytime a wine we love scores 95 points in the Decanter World Wine Awards and has a tasting note like the one below, we get extremely excited...
- Exceptional value?
- Very Classy?!
- Ticks all the boxes?!?
AND we can run it on sale for the lowest price in the US at $9.99 per bottle?!?!
I mean it kinda makes me chuckle as I was reading the latest issue of Wine Spectator just yesterday and they were discussing the best value wines in the world...and all the "value" wines were like $30 and $40 per bottle.
Ummmmm....no.
Value is surely relative, but value is $9.99 - not $39.99.
What makes this wine in particular such a great value?
We might presume that most of the top Old World sites are multi-generational legacies, remaining in the hands of ossified aristocrats served by dedicated minions. I suppose that’s true in some places. But most of the exciting things happen in Europe are the result of new blood; new folks like Joséphine and Frédéric Arnaud who took over this property in 1995. Northwest of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Arnauds have more than 200 acres of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, the latter a grape that has only, in the last two or three decades, become more typical of Côtes du Rhone blends.
Again, it helps to add some new blood to these old places...especially ones that want to specialize in high quality wines that everyone can enjoy!
We will have the wine on the tasting machine all week for only $0.01 per taste - just so you can see what all the fuss is about!
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

Random note: One of the iconic lines in any TV show has to be when Dame Maggie Smith asked what a weekend was in Downton Abbey. You can view the hilarious scene here.
Anyhoo...I think the rest of us actually do know what a weekend is, and we look forward to them. I love opening up a nice bottle on a Friday night as a bit of a celebration of another week in the books, and a great way to wind down.
This weekend, we've got quite a treat.
I noted above that $19.99 per bottle for this wine is not only the lowest online price in the US...it is the lowest online price in the world. This weekend (every time I type this phrase now in my head I say "What is a weekend?!?!?), you'll be able to pick up this gem for less than you can buy if for locally in France.
GO time.
Soooooo...what is all the hype about?
On a recent buying trip we sat down with Olivier Ramé to taste the latest lineup at Maison Ventenac. During that meeting one of the wines we tasted stopped us in our tracks. It was a 100% Petite Arvine called Le Batard. It was also one of the best wines we tasted the entire trip.
Ventenac is an exceptional 100% organic property. Some of the wine produced here we believe represents some of the best under $50 wine you can buy - period.
Using the grape Petite Arvine is a new project, with the wine called a ‘bastard’ on the label because Petite Arvine is a Swiss grape that few grow in France. The wine is a complete dead ringer for high end white burgundy (and I’m talking the stuff north of $100+ per bottle). It is tense and minerally, fermented with native yeasts and no sulfur in Italian terracotta amphorae. It adds color, texture and complexity to this otherwise simple and refreshing grape.
My first thought after tasting it was thinking this must be what people feel like when they say stuff like “I remember when Montrachet was only $30…” and stuff like that.
The only real problem here? 2,400 bottles or 200 cases is the entire global annual production.
So if you're into White Burgundy (or any Chardonnay for that matter), or just into delicious white wine, your ship has come in.
$19.99 per bottle through Sunday. I'm all in!

Our #1 goal here at winestore. is to bring you the best possible wines at the lowest possible prices. It's been our goal since our founding almost 19 years ago and it remains our #1 goal today.
So offers like the one we are rolling out today get our juices flowing!!
What's going on?
One of the breakout stars of 2024, to the tune of over 10,000 bottles, was Granicus Proprietary Red...and the winery has let us kick off 2025 with a bang.
$9.99 per bottle? Back up the truck...
It makes sense this wine would take off like a rocket ship - the producer is the same winery behind Benieres Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - our #4 and #6 best selling wines! (Did I also mention these guys do value wines better than maybe anyone on planet earth?)
So why are we loving it so much? Well, outside of the fact the people behind Granicus are basically a dream team producer of affordable yet outstanding quality wines, we like this wine because....we love wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon 😁.
It’s a place in Mediterranean France that has been important for more than a century but, despite the noise about inexpensive Bordeaux wines, remains the place to shop for value. Though it represents only 10% of France’s vineyard area, production is 42% of the country’s total output. It wasn’t always so, back in 1897, that same area represented only 25% of France’s wine. Most of that was given over to Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and high-volume grapes. Now producers are trying to figure out the spots where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and even Pinot Noir can prosper (good luck on that last one). But when you grow these grapes on chalky-clay terroirs, and when you apply Bordeaux techniques to it (fancy stainless steel, new French oak, minute temperature control and the like), you can make a fascinatingly accurate facsimile.
$9.99 per bottle through Sunday to help kick off 2025. Let's do this.
To the restaurant in the airport that tried to charge me $5 for a club soda the other day - please take note! 2025 is all about the return to off the charts value!!
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

Over the years we had been including Sonoma Cutrer Russian River Ranches Chardonnay in some sale events at $16.99 per bottle and the wine was absolutely flying off the shelves. Then, four years ago we were like "why don't we just make it $16.99 every single day?"
So we went ahead and did that 😁
We absolutely love low prices and we absolutely love you guys, so this only made sense...am I right?
Since then, this wine has been CRUSHING IT.

Listen up folks.
The snow to wine index has been deployed for the first time in a long time, and it appears everyone needs to get moving.
Most of our stores are clearly in a 3 bottle zone. All of Charlotte, Asheville, Chapel Hill, Morrisville, Raleigh. Man oh man 😂
Dunwoody is squarely in a two bottle situation, but why stop there...
Wilmington appears to be in a one bottle scenario, but honestly at this point who can say for sure.
All this said - we know one thing for sure. We will be drinking wine this evening 😂
What better way to celebrate all this than by grabbing a bottle of the winner of the Silver Oak Blind Tasting from last weekend - still on sale for $9.99 through Sunday.
What had we told you about this one?
Well...
Our blind tastings always seem to produce some upsets, but honestly this one may take the cake.
Highland Falls, one of our best selling wines of all time, won the Caymus Blind Tasting last fall.
A surprise? Sure. But the wine is a known entity. It sells like hotcakes. I could see it winning in the right conditions.
The Silver Oak Blind Tasting?
In this particular case we have a wine that was the last wine we added to the lineup, a virtual unknown, and a wine we have featured in our newsletter just ONE TIME in our 19 year history, that took home the crown.
I'm sorry, what?
I was so worried that nobody would believe us, that we just decided to include the voting results. You can view them here.
581 of you came out last Saturday to test your blind tasting chops across 8 wines - and 25% of you voted Seigneur de Feu in first place. Besting Silver Oak by 14 votes.
These two wines, a $10 wine and an $80 wine, took home 47% of ALL the first place votes.
Just wild...
What is even more insane, is that in the one e-mail we have sent about this wine (and I just read this and it kinda gave me chills), I told you - as kindof a joke - that Seigneur du Feu was basically like Silver Oak but only for $10 because of the use of American Oak in the wine. 👀
Here is what we told you:
"Throughout the last two centuries of winedom, French wine has been aged in French oak. Or has it? In the 19th century, French forests, planted for warships, were plentiful enough for barrels too. In the early 20th century, barrels made from Eastern European oak became more common, especially after WWI decimated French forests. But they were replanted with purpose; the barrel industry returned and has dominated the idea of top flight wine ever since. Yet, American oak is crucial to many other wine regions: Spain, Australia, the U.S., maybe even Silver Oak (they love that vanilla smell). So this is a southern French Cab with American oak’s lashing of coconut and sawdust – the classic aromas of American oak barrels.
Maybe think Silver Oak from France, but only costs $9.99? There may be some hyperbole in there, but you get the idea! 😂"
Have we just uncovered the next big thing?
I have no idea.
But this is so damn exciting I barely know what to say.
I know what I'm drinking tonight!
Remember to stay safe...and please keep up to date on the snow / wine index as it can change at any moment. We could be in a six bottle situation by 4pm!

Let's do this!

🍷 Blind Taste Silver Oak vs. $25 Rivals! 👀
01.02.2025
Taste Silver Oak Blind vs. $25 Rivals!
Saturday January 4th, 2025
9am - 8pm
All Day Long!!
Also WIN a 3 LITER of 2019 Silver Oak!
Complete The Tasting, Vote for your Favorite, and you will be entered to win a 3 LITER Of 2019 Silver Oak Alexander Valley!
#1 Comment from the end of the year feedback / message box was "more blind tastings!"...so we're just gonna start the year off right, and give the people what they want!
This Saturday we're hosting the OG, the original, the groundbreaker blind tasting - our Silver Oak Blind Tasting.
We first hosted this event in January of 2007...so it's been running awhile 😁.
Also, for the second year in a row here at winestore., once you complete the tasting and vote for your favorite wine, you will be entered to win the 3 Liter.
Possible way to spice up your next party? I think so.... 😂
It's the tasting that brought you winners like Rockus Bockus ($12.99), Gun Bun Mountain Cuvee ($14.99), Ca' Momi ($7.99) , BR Cohn Silver Label ($18.99), Treana Red Blend ($24.99) Snowvale ($12.99) and more. It's the tasting that brings the stars of the wine world to their knees.
It almost seems unfair, I mean a Maserati is supposed to go faster than a Yugo, and a $60 wine is supposed to taste better than a $12 one. Right? Well, maybe not. A wine's success isn't measured in MpH, it's measured in the taste that is transferred from the glass to your mouth. If you don't know the price, can't see the label, and can't hear someone barking in your ear about the wine's "score," then all that is left is the juice and your taste buds. It's a scary proposition for any winemaker. That's why you have marketing departments that design catchy labels, create campaigns to build a wine's image, and spend all of their time and energy essentially trying to convince consumers that a wine is great. The problem is that you can't out "market" a blind tasting.
Which is why we're playing "Find the Silver Oak" this Saturday. It's simple really. The wines will all be tasted blind on our tasting machines. One of them will be 2019 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet and the others will be an assortment of wines at every price point, from a number of different regions. All you have to do is load up your card with $8.00, taste all eight wines (you don't have to taste all 8 if you don't want to, but it's more fun if you do!), and pick your favorite. Yes, that's right, your favorite. If that's the Silver Oak, then great, if not, well that's OK too. You may be surprised as to what your favorites actually are.
We hope to see you Saturday - this is always a fun event! We'll release the winners next Tuesday!

SALE Price good TODAY ONLY - SALE ends TONIGHT at MIDNIGHT!
Even though our stores are closed today, each New Year's Day we do a one day sale on our website to ring in the new year - and the catch is the wine has to be offered at our lowest price EVER. That's right...one time only, to kick of the new year right, lowest price we will ever offer.
It's kinda how we roll.
So to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome in hopefully a wonderful 2025, we are offering one of our favorites for an absolutely silly price of $19.99 (I'm getting fired up just writing this!)
We tasted this wine for the first time last year and absolutely loved it, and our love seemed to be matched by you guys as the first week it landed, I watched two customers buy straight cases of it after just tasting it on the machine.
Flying overseas to find wines like this has really transformed some of our offerings as of late. We’ve opined many times recently that the quality level of our $25-$75 collectible offerings has never been higher, and the value we currently have in store between $20 and $60 I would put up against anyone in the US right now. We used to be at the mercy of our distributors and importers, all of which offer a relatively limited selection of wines compared to what is available globally. Being able to find something like Pontey Lamartine Pessac, and be able to offer it for $19.99 per bottle, just gets me really excited.
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve!
Here's to an amazing 2025!

Sneaky Top Wine of 2024 is BACK!
Maison de Palais Voleur for $19.99
It has become a tradition here that we take a moment at the end of each year just to say THANK YOU.
As we approach our 19th Birthday (is this real life?!?), we want to just reiterate how truly appreciative we are of you spending your hard earned dollars with us over the last 12 months and we hope to continue to earn your business as we enter 2025.
We are humbled by the opportunity to serve each and every one of you, and we don't take it for granted.
Inflation and rising prices continued to be buzzwords in 2024, and we are proud to tell you less than 0.5% of all our products saw price increases this year. Our commitment to everyday low prices means we work tirelessly with our suppliers to keep prices down...and we are going all in on our efforts in 2025. Our goal is price decreases!
Know this...here at winestore. you will always be getting the absolute highest quality product at the lowest prices in North Carolina and Georgia, each and every time. We will treat your money as if it was our own, and give you 5 star service each and every time.
All that said, we are always striving to get better, so if you have any suggestions on how we can improve please write to us by clicking HERE, and let us know the one or two things you think we really need to add to our service offerings, to change, to overhaul - anything at all (heck, even if you just have some positive feedback). Many suggestions from the year end suggestion box have been implemented over the last several years. Everything from name tags, updated hours, and process changes....the customer knows best, and we are listening.
We hope to see you today (we are open until 6pm!) as you stock up for your New Year's Eve! If you're like us, you need some wine before heading to bed at 9pm :)
Also, for what it's worth, if you've been saving a nice bottle for a special occasion - we encourage you to open it up tonight. It doesn't have to be bubbles. Life is short, and our time here is limited. Things can change in an instant. No better time than now to celebrate all we have to be thankful for!
Thank you again, Happy New Year, and blessings to you and your family for a wonderful 2025.
Cheers!

One of the items we were going to run as a Holiday Special did not arrive until yesterday (great timing!), but that isn't going to slow us down.
So one of the sneaky best selling wines of 2024 (I say sneaky because it has been out of stock for most of the year!) is back in stock and at the lowest online US price through midnight on December 31st!!
When we first got this wine in stock back in March, you all were the first people in the United States to get to see what may go down as one of the best glass bottles I have ever seen, matched with some super delicious red wine made by winemaking superstar Nicholas Vellas.
We first saw this bottle in February of 2023, and waited to get our allotment of this wine for an entire YEAR. It finally arrived and immediately sold out!
So we attempted to re-order more, and have been waiting six month to get it back in...oh, and fielded a bajillion e-mails and phone calls from customers who got in on the first tranche wondering when it was coming back in stock!
Why do we love it so much (in addition to the glass?!) - a video of the bottle can be found here.
The wine is made from Syrah and Grenache in more or less equal proportions here, and this exhibits what makes Costières de Nimes an increasingly popular and important sub-region of the Rhone Valley. It benefits from the same Mediterranean sun and breezes, and the same limestone soils, as any other southern Rhone appellation.
But here's the catch - unlike so much Châteauneuf-duPape, this stuff is actually affordable!
As an added post holiday bonus, we'll have this on the tasting machine at all 9 stores for just $0.01 all weekend long.
TGIF y'all!
I know what I'm drinking tonight!

Could we set a sales record today?
Did we save the best for last?
Well...we wanted our final deal of the 2024 Holiday Season to be special, and Cape Charles Cabernet for $19.99 seemed like a great chef's kiss to what has been a fun season of wine, friends, family, and general merriment.
Quick note - this wine has never sold for this price before. Ever.
Since 2021, Cape Charles Cabernet has busted every single sales record we ever had at our stores. Every month, month after month, this wine sits at the top of the heap - and for good reason! This is one of the best sub $25 wines you will find - no matter the region, grape variety, etc. It's one of the best.
At $19.99? We're entered the realm of absurd value.
It's also worth noting this wine was our Wine of the Year in 2022 AND 2023.
A label developed with Baron Ziegler (he's kind of a big deal, you can read more about him here) to take advantage of the high end left over juice, the results have been unreal. The label itself was lent to the project by artist Peter Curling - he's also kind of a big deal and you can read more about him here.
We started with Kamen Moon Mountain juice which sold out in just a few weeks. We then doubled down with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Leonetti in Washington State. After the Leonetti success we told Baron the next one had to be huge…and he delivered.
This 100% Cassata Vineyard Cabernet is the best wine he's released yet, and I'm not sure it is even close.
Where / what is the Cassata Vineyard?
Rancho Los Guilicos is the historical name for the Cassata family’s estate in prime Sonoma Valley territory. It’s part of the original Mexican land grant from the 1830s, administered by General Mariano Vallejo, and offered to settlers who would attempt to tame this wilderness.
Vallejo gave the grant to his sister-in-law who sold it in 1850 to William Hood; the local peak is named after him. It went through a few other hands before it was bought by Judge Carroll Cook, Superior Court Judge of San Francisco. This is when it becomes known as “Rancho El Nido” or “The Nest” and when Jack London and his love for the Valley of the Moon, as well as the Judge’s expertise with cocktails, enters the picture. London’s ranch was at the edge of the property; and Cook planted grapes to make wine.
There were only three owners through the 20th century. The Cassata family bought El Nido in 2002, and have since been dedicated to restoring its glory through bio-sustainable farming. They’ve even re-planted olive trees to make olive oil. They’ve focused the vineyard choices on the traditional areas and the grapes that belong there (like the Cabernet family) as well as grapes that have helped build its fame (like Zinfandel and Alicante Bouschet). This is the beating heart of historical Sonoma wine country!
As for prices - you’ll find Cassata Vineyard Cabernet anywhere from $53 to $105 per bottle. NEVER has this vineyard ever had wine in the 21st century that has been priced under $20.
One Day Only.

In a 33 e-mail strong thread that goes back to October 14th, we were negotiating a deal on 2021 Alea Fina Napa Cabernet - a collaboration between Sebastian Donoso of Bonterra Organics and Conch y Toro and winemaking superstar Paul Hobbs. The wine has all of the pedigree of a triple crown winner, and it is everything you could want from high end Napa Cab. A great video from Paul and Sebastian can be found here.
All that said, the winery retails it for $150.00 per bottle (HERE), and $150 per bottle wine isn’t moving super fast right now. We agreed to buy 50% of their entire available stock, 476 six pack cases, if we could retail it for $39.99 per bottle. They agreed, and here we are!
The wine arrived two weeks ago and in the time it took us to get the wine all the stores in NC and GA, you all have purchased 324 of the 476 six packs 👀
When deals are this good...word gets around.
That leaves just 152 six packs for all North Carolina and Georgia.
There are no words I could put in this e-mail that could adequately convey how silly this deal is…so I will copy and paste from an e-mail I received from a customer just 3 days ago after they had bought a six pack back on Dec 8th, and wanted some more:
He is not wrong...it might be the best deal ever.
This is the lowest price this wine has ever been offered for, by a wide margin, and I would venture to guess given the extreme back and forth we had with the winery, that it will be the lowest we will ever be able to sell it for.
We truly value the opportunity to serve you and your family, and I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season. If you’ve been saving a nice bottle - open it up. Share it with people that don’t even drink wine. They will love it. No better time then now. I will even come over and help you drink it if you need me to! I can also bring my kids over to hang at your house during Christmas break if you want…😂
Tasting sheets and technical info can be found here and here.

We've reached the point in the Holiday Season where the next 4 deals are going to be some of the best we have ever offered...and we'll start with Grand Cru Saint-Emilion for $19.99.
One of the wines that really got me into drinking and collecting wine was Chateau Pavie. It's a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from this region of Bordeaux...and it's like really, really awesome (that is a professional wine recommendation).
Sadly, it now costs over $350 a bottle (inflation much? 😳), and that's not really in my wheelhouse.
So when we tried the Vieux Lescours for the first time back in 2023, I got that same Chateau Pavie feeling.
We're talking similar grape blend, a vineyard originally planted in 1850, 12 months in 75% new French Oak, and all the acidity a wine like this needs to be an age worthy rock star.
That $350 Chateau Pavie feeling for $19.99 is what I look for in wines I drink.
It also doesn't hurt that this is 54% lower than the already lowest online price for this wine in the US.
You guys know that is how we roll!
Price is good till Sunday or honestly until we run out (a Corporate Customer purchased 436 bottles of this earlier this week so that took a chunk out of our inventory!)
TGIF!! 99% chance I am drinking this tonight!

7 Days until Christmas? How is that even possible? Wasn't it February like a hot minute ago?
Today, as our deal train goes on, we are bringing you 100% Bennett Valley Pinot Noir from Sonoma County for only $19.99 per bottle.
Dare I say it...this is the best Willowlake Pinot they have ever made?
Why is it so amazing?
Wine wizards Baron Ziegler and Rob Fischer have been crafting this Pinot Noir since 2014 (when Vivino labeled it in the top 5% of all wines in the world) and it has become harder and harder to get each and every year.
Case in point - last year it was out of stock from April through September and this year we were unable to buy any from May until October!!
Heck, Vivino even says the 2019 vintage is one of the top 9% of all wines in the world. Nice!
Since its launch it has been our #1 selling Pinot Noir in terms of gross dollar volume and it is a THREE time "Belle Glos Blind Tasting" winner (also it has never come in worse than second).
So just to recap:
1) 100% Bennett Valley Pinot for $19.99 (that never happens)
2) Top wine in the world according to Vivino
3) 3 time Belle Glos Blind Tasting winner
Perfect for the Holiday table? YES!
Perfect for tonight watching another episode of Landman? ALSO YES! (seriously, is anyone else watching that show?)

We are not slowing down. Today is one we have been waiting to release for almost 6 weeks.
In a deal we were able to cut back in November, the powers that be are giving us enough support to go out with Snowvale Sierra Foothills at $14.99 per bottle. This is the first and will be the only time this wine will see this price.
I think a cursory search around google for wines from this AVA will let you know that this deal is pretty silly.
A century and a half ago, the Sierra Foothills was the scene of a whole lot of winemaking. Why? Because there were many, many thirsty men there, all assembled around a pan and a creek or a little seam of possible gold. Sad to say, we don’t know what those wines were like. But we do know that there are still many century old vines in them thar hills.
This particular sample came from the iconic Shake Ridge Ranch (you can read more about it here) and from a winery I was not familiar with (whose name I cannot disclose but it starts with a K 😁). We tasted some great wines the day we tasted with this group, but this red blend stole the show. We were not told what was in the wine and this winery makes so many different bottlings it is hard to try and figure it out - but based on the fact it is from Shake Ridge I am guessing it is from the Rhone components that make up their only Shake Ridge Bottlings (both $80).
More importantly though, it really didn’t matter to us the grape varietal composition - the wine was so good we were buying it no matter what.
Baron Ziegler, who brings us all these treats, continues to impress. In the current California red wine market, to be able to bring you single vineyard offerings of this quality for $14.99 continues to boggle my mind. But these guys just keep bringing the goods, and the bulk wine market right now is an embarassment of riches...if you know where to look.
So....6 days only. $14.99. We could not be more pumped about this!!!
Let's do this!
