We tasted this wine back in June and ordered it right away. Thanks to whatever is going on in the world of overseas shipping, the wine finally arrived last week!

A follow up taste test upon arrival may have, in my humble opinion, moved this wine to the front of blockbuster hits this holiday season.

What is going on?

Well, looking back on our 15 years of serving you, we have never carried much Bordeaux (it just gets too expensive). In addition, I can't think of any offer we have made for a Bordeaux less than $25. Every time we taste them, they taste...well...they tend to taste cheap. Nobody wants to deal with that...

Enter Montassin...

- It's a traditional Bordeaux blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc
- It comes in awesome six pack wood boxes
- The wine comes with a deep, rich color but seems to focus more on elegance over power, all while losing none of the fruit character of traditional Bordeaux wine.
- It is incredibly delicious and clocks in at a very friendly 13.5% alc.

So we have a wine for 12 bucks that is packed in 6 pack wood cases from Bordeaux that brings the thunder in terms of quality. Now do you see why I think this thing is going to go bonkers this Holiday Season?

We probably didn't buy enough, and with all the shipping issues going on in the world. What showed up is all that there will be for a good bit. But who cares, right?
