While looking for the next big rosé find, we could not pass up an opportunity to bring you this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé from Villa Gaubert. This is, I've been told, the first time this wine has been available in the US!

Dominique Haverlan bought the old Château Gaubert in Portets in 1988, which was then in ruins. He made it into something important, but he didn’t’ forget to make wine that you will want to drink at a reasonable velocity. That’s what rosé is, and this one has it in spades.

Rosés are cold and citrusy and tangy and refreshing and, well, once they’re properly cold, they’re delicious. Did I mention that they need to be cold? Don’t skimp on the ice, people, that's just part of the deal.

At $10.99 per bottle it is surely a treat I will be enjoying the rest of this week, and into the rest of summer. I always need more $10.99 bottles of wine in my life - but $10.99 rosé, from Cabernet, that is beyond delicious?
