When it comes to entry level bottlings in the Rhone Valley, nobody does it better than Domaine de Marcoux.

Some of the prized bottles in my cellar are not $100 wines, but $20 bottles of 2010, 2012 and 2015 Marcoux Cotes du Rhone (I literally horde these bottles like gold bricks :). In stellar vintages, everything Marcoux makes is brilliant; in good vintages, everything they make is great. For the 2021 vintage, consider this an extremely brilliant Cotes du Rhone. Marcoux was also one of the first bio-dynamic producers in all of France...which only proves they've been ahead of the curve for a LONG time.

Every time I get to drink a bottle of this stuff, I pull the glass away and just think "Darn, that is a great bottle of wine for $20." It really does taste like a baby Chateauneuf du Pape, and for the price, for my taste buds, it is just about everything I could ever want in a bottle of wine.

For this price, it is a dream wine for all lovers of Rhone wines.

Only downside? Our distributor was closing this wine out and only had 416 bottles available at this price...so get while the gettin' is good!!
