Field Trip Cab Franc

As Walla Walla Valley grows its reputation, it’s Cabernet Sauvignon that has led the way. But ask any winemaker there and they will sing the praises of Cabernet Franc, that tertiary grape among the Bordeaux triad. It’s not so unimportant in Bordeaux though; many of the most famed of Right Bank Bordeaux (you know, chateaux like Cheval Blanc, Angélus, Dôme, Lafleur, those kinds of place) believe in the grape’s inherent greatness.
