Foppiano 1896

As the Foppiano family has been growing grapes in the Russian River Valley since 1896, it seems reasonable to slap that vintage on this wine.Today, the Foppianos have 160 planted acres; back then, not as much. But they grew a mix of what was cool then, and maybe what is still cool today: this is 67% Petite Sirah, 14% Carignane, 8% Barbera, 7% Mourvedre, 4% Zinfandel.
