Le Ragose Valpolicella

Valpolicella may be the most misunderstood place in Italy. Seen in earlier days as a region of little importance beyond fruity wines, there are differences between places, producers and wines. Enologist Arnaldo Galli and his wife Marta have owned this estate since 1969. Marta Galli, often referred to as “La Signora del Vino,” was voted “Winemaker of the World” in 1990 by her peers. At her level of Valpolicella, the wine is drinkable and complex.
