Verbo Aglianico del Vulture
Aglianico is one of Italy’s most important unsung grapes, but it’s tricky. It can be tannic and even a bit rustic, so the critical factor is where it’s grown. The Del Vulture owns its own D.O.C. and it’s a wine with more than 2000 years of history. As crucial are the volcanic soils and the elevation and beneficial exposure of the gentle Venosa hills. Put together, the tannins are softened by the generous fruit and the wine remains bright and fresh.
