Back in the 80s and 90s, Champagne houses began producing bubblies in California and some of them have come to rival the houses back in France. Indeed, Domaine Carneros not only makes delicious, complex wine, they have their own damned, French-looking chateau. This is inspired by the parent Taittinger, but finding a way to weave in an American-styled richness and friendliness to it as well.
